Summer
of Youth captures and shares the passion of the fans
of the New York rock combo, Sonic Youth. Sonic Youth has
been an institution in the American underground rock
scene for more than 20 years. The band has legions of
fans around the world and has recorded countless albums
over the years. The film follows one fan's story of life
on the road during a summer American tour while
documenting the band's fans from around the globe. It
also features the band performing songs on stage in
clubs and theaters around the country.

Filmmaker Information
|
Will O’Loughlen was born in Sioux Falls, South
Dakota. He completed his undergraduate degree in
Communications at the University of Memphis in 1997.
He is the former film manager for the Platform
International Animation Festival and the former director
of the Indie Memphis Film Festival and the Indie Memphis
Micro Cinema Club. O’Loughlen has been an independent
filmmaker since 1997. His films have screened around the
country and in Europe.
