Film Description

In the orange groves of Florida comedy is blossoming as three nine-year-olds embark on a quest for beer and cigarettes. This leads them down the path towards adulthood where they find something greater…love. Penny is a firecracker of a girl who has always been one of the guys. When her best friends, Tiny and Coop, decide they want to “do it” with some older girls (with no idea of what that means), she is inevitably pulled along for the ride. As Penny recognizes her affection for Tiny she is drawn out of the safety of childhood and into the confusing world of lipstick, boys and belly buttons.

Filmmaker Information

Jamie Cussen was born in Hamilton Bermuda in 1984 and moved to Toronto shortly after his birth. He is currently finishing his B.F.A. at York University in Toronto. His 2006 film THE GREAT FEAR received critical acclaim from director Clement Virgo and took him to Florida for the Independents Film Festival. Jamie returned to Florida to film his most recent work Rock Paper Scissors. Jamie recently finished working as an assistant to Peter Lynch and is in development on a number of projects.
