Filmmaker Information

Doug Lenox had just begun his second year as a graduate film student at the University of New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina devastated the gulf coast in August 2005. Amidst the chaotic aftermath of the storm, Doug was temporarily admitted to the graduate film program at NYU. While coping with the uncertainty of displacement, Doug wrote the film, QUINCY AND ALTHEA. Filled with both joy and sorrow, he returned to his former New Orleans home to direct his satirical tale of Hurricane Katrina, marriage and survival.

Currently, he is in post production on OVER LUNCH, a short drama about the unraveling of a casual sexual relationship. He is also in the process of writing CHRISTMAS CARDS FROM PRISON, his first feature film.
