Film Description

FREEDOM FUELS takes an in-depth look at renewable fuel sources, such as bio-diesel, ethanol, and vegetable oil. It explores the interaction of the petroleum industry and alternative fuels over the last 150 years and examines the global impact that bio-fuels can have on our future. Featuring interviews with leading scientists from around the world and activists including Darryl Hannah and Willie Nelson, as well as clips from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report.

Filmmaker Information

Martin O'Brien is a documentary filmmaker and activist from Oakland, California via Cork City, Ireland. Martin’s production company, Mofilms, has produced three documentaries. His most recent film, JUSTICIA NOW, is about the 'Artivist' John Quigley's organized protest at the original Texaco drilling site in Ecuador.
