John Erwin inherited his love of the cinema from his dad, a devotee of AMC and Turner Classic Movies. Now a senior in high school, John made his first video, a tour of his house, at the age of six. John has received two "T Tauri" awards from the T Tauri Young Filmmakers Competition, the first for a stop motion movie starring puppets that he made in sixth grade. Among his influences are Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, and Ingmar Bergman.
