This screening and Q&A pays tribute to two of the recipients of the 2009 Arkansas Arts Council Film and Video Fellowships. The program also includes BEFORE and BIRTHDAY by Hans Stiritz, recipient of the 2004 Arkansas Arts Council Music Composition Fellowship, and three music videos by Melissa Heard.

Sarah K. Moore is a video support specialist in the Multimedia Resource Center at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She holds a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Arkansas and worked for three years in San Francisco as a production coordinator and production assistant. Sarah is attracted to experimental styles that incorporate layered imagery and sounds and both traditional and non-traditional animation techniques.

 

Daehwan Cho is an assistant professor of digital media production at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. He is a video artist, digital filmmaker, motion graphic designer, and multimedia specialist. Cho holds degrees in new media, interactive multimedia, history, and filmmaking. His work has screened in Greece, Canada, the UK, and the US. He describes his work as using digital technology to reveal absurdities of life and to express diverse and often hidden sides of human nature.
