Film Description

Danny, a New Orleans paramedic, is working his last graveyard shift for the city's ambulance service. It has been several months since he has saved a life. Danny starts to believe his touch is the reason his patients are dying. In the Paramedic field, this is known as The Grim Reaper Phase. CODE 7 is based on the real-life experiences of the film's director as an EMT in New Orleans.

Filmmaker Information

Andrew Hutchings graduated from the University of New Orleans in 2006. During his study, he produced over 24 student and independent films. CODE 7 was his directorial debut. Following college, Andrew traveled as a crew member from New Orleans to Los Angeles on the film, THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, staring Brad Pitt and directed by David Fincher.  After filming ended, he joined Paramount Pictures Studio where he now currently works in Theatrical Distribution.

Kenneth Carr is originally from McComb, Mississippi. He has a B.A. in Film Production from the University of New Orleans. He produced and directed the documentaries FOUR QUESTIONS and SLICE OF DEATH: THE MOVIE.
